Router Lifts

Currently have a table top router table (from an old issue of Shop Notes I believe)
I am considering building a new router table and want to include a router lift. I am wondering what you have or would recommend and why. None are cheap so cost is not a big factor although a consideration. A quick lift (course adjustment) mechanism of some sort would seem to be important. Holding a position and bit changes from above the table would also seem to be critical too.
On a related topic does anyone have any experience with table specific router motors? Pow-r-tek from JessEm and Spinrite from Woodpecker come to mind as samples.
Thanks
Dave

I have the Woodpeckers Router Lift. It has coarse adjustment via a tool inserted from above the table, to either push down or pull up. It also has a fine adjustment wheel, also accessible from above the table. The position is lockable, via a hex key. I've had my unit for about 15 years. It has served me quite well and has seen frequent use. Woodpeckers has made improvements since my purchase, but I honestly haven't followed the details very much. Woodcraft now carries their products. Their factory is located in Strongsville, Ohio

I purchased a rather inexpensive (comparatively) JessEM Rout-R-Lift II through Woodcraft 2 years ago. It is mounted in my workbench with a dedicated Bosch router. Although not one of the more expensive units of this type, it has served me well. I am able to make all necessary adjustments from the top of the table.

Fun idea I remember seeing years ago. This guy makes his own tools. Woodgear.ca
